Below are some personal recommendations from visitors to Vejer
From Simon:
Las Perdices - excellent authentic Spanish food at reasonable prices. 5 minute walk from La Noria and in the summer has a few outside tables.
From Jim:
Patria restaurant, we have only been the once, and had one of the best meals I have ever had, anywhere, let alone Spain! Sunday lunch was to be either La Sindura, which we had eaten at many times and knew would be good, or La Patria, the unknown. What a good choice that day!

From Carolyn:
Horse-riding. Stables on the road below the village that leads to Medina Sidonia
Surfing schools at El Palmar.
Nice walk along the cliff top from Conil harbour leading to lots of nice coves.
The guitar place in the Jewish quarter of the town. It is a community centre at the very end of Rosario. They hold flamenco guitar/singing concerts there on Friday nights, starting around 10 - 11pm.
Walks around the area listed on the Walking World website
From Chris:
The Tourist Office in Vejer do conducted tours (on foot) and also a Tapas Tour that starts at about 7.00 pm. Friends of ours went on the latter and found it great. I would also recommend The Green Bird (El Pajarro Verde) at El Palmar. Last hostel on right almost next to Conil). There is an enclosed garden there but to get to it one has to go to the back of the restaurant and then turn right but not obvious. Very safe for people with kids and lovely.Wonderful cheap tapas and open until quite late.
From Lisa:
We would like to recommend Basil Cafe at the end of El Palmar beach. It does wonderful crepes, both savoury and sweet, see below
Also the exhibition at Real Esculea del Arte Ecuestre, (Foundation Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art) followed by an afternoon understanding and tasting sherry at Sandemans, both in Jerez.
